The barge is reinforced in the hull so that it can be used in locations exposed to rough seas and wind. This gives the customer great flexibility in relation to which areas the barge can serve, says Regional Manager for Sales in the North region, Jøran Strand at AKVA group.

Well equipped

The feed barge is 34.5 meters long, 12 meters wide and has a large feed capacity. The core of the feed fleet is a state-of-the-art feeding facility with 10 feeding lines. The barge is also equipped with a hydraulic crane with a winch, and can be controlled remotely.

The agreement was signed on 15 November 2022 and will be delivered from the shipyard in Tallinn in mid-September 2023. The feed barge will be operational in October 2023.
