AKVA air dome PE1 is a new and improved dome solution for the Nautilus concept. This solution provides farmers with better control over feeding, the air pocket, and buoyancy, while also reducing operational costs.

Benefits of the newly developed AKVA air dome

Stable and self-righting design

Eliminates the need for stabilizing buoys and ensures the fish constant access to a large, stable air surface.

Gentle on the fish

All rope connections and bolt fittings are placed above the net roof, making the transition to the air pocket free of obstacles and sharp edges.

Efficient feeding

Patent-pending distribution chamber ensures even feed spread regardless of dome tilt. Flexible feed sleeves guide fish away from structures.

Flexible solutions

Feed via the dome (⌀ 4 m) or via extended feed hoses through the dome net (⌀ 8 m).

Better control

Supports camera monitoring in the air pocket for full oversight and safer operations.

Cost-effective

Smaller construction simplifies handling and deployment, lowers transport costs, enables stacking, and increases service life.
