During Aqua Nor in Trondheim, the feed barge "Bolgbørra" was officially named at Skansen. Delivered by AKVA group, the barge will be commissioned at Nova Sea’s site south of Bolga following the exhibition.
"Bolgbørra" is an AC500R steel feed barge with a feed storage capacity of 500 tonnes and represents a significant upgrade compared with the AC450C. The barge offers increased capacity and more accessible deck space, while its design builds on innovations introduced in the AC700R series.
The solution is developed for efficient and reliable operation, featuring a standardised mooring system and winches that simplify handling and improve the interaction between the barge and the site. The barge is also prepared for remote operation and feeding, contributing to high uptime and a safer working environment, even in demanding weather conditions.
Following the exhibition at Skansen, the barge was prepared for transport directly to Bolga, where it will play a key role in Nova Sea’s continued production.
